MISSING.

have you seen my cowboy?
last sighted on an epping train heading for the horizon.

I hate pastels.

Another assignment done, thank dog.
I hate dry pastels so much. so so so much. nasty, horrible, messy things.
I'm covered in smudges, as is the apartment.
Not to mention the final outcome is completely unsatisfying.
I am NEVER using pastels again. EVER.

all the animals are gone.

Another assignment. This time we had to create a CD cover for one of Lisa Mitchell's songs, using collage.
I chose animals, then I drew dead-animal-underwater-souls.

smart.

“there is another element which a good painter possesses, what T.S. Elliot refers to as prayer, observance, discipline. It is no use waiting about for inspiration. An artist has to work, work when he does not wish to work, and sometimes pursue and flog a dead painting, all the time knowing, it will be discarded. But he knows that by the act of painting, even in despair, he is placing himself in a position where something may turn up. It is the agony of creation. It takes some sort of mad persistence to go on being a painter.” -Jeffrey Smart

NMIT zombies

Illustration for my team's zombie style zine.
Featuring all the lovely ladies in our disgusting undead group. They rock.
And then there's me and my rabbits...

"cool hair"

to the faster than lightning boy on flinders street who ran up behind me, gave me two thumbs up and said "cool hair" before speeding off again...
